
UKGSA Raises £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Posted on Oct 17, 2024The UK Gasket & Sealing Association (UKGSA) is delighted to announce it has successfully raised £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support during its annual Golf Day and Charity Dinner held in September. This year’s efforts brings the total raised for the charity since the UKGSA started fundraising to £16,780.
Fundraising activities
The event, which took place at the Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Shropshire, brought together members for a day of friendly competition and charitable giving. The event included a golf tournament, followed by an evening dinner, raffle and auctions. Attendees showed overwhelming generosity, with all proceeds going directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Gavin Lyles, Marketing, Website and Fundraising Officer for the UKGSA, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have raised this amount of money for such an important cause. Macmillan Cancer Support does vital work across the UK supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.”
Stacey Rhodes, Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager at Macmillan Cancer, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the UKGSA for their support. Macmillan Cancer Support plays a vital role offering everything from medical support to emotional care, to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can. The funds raised by the UKGSA will allow us to continue to do whatever it takes to give people the support they need.”
