Response to COVID-19
Posted on Mar 23, 2020We would like to update all our Members with our response to the current COVID-19 crisis.
The UK Gasket & Sealing Association (UKGSA) continues to be operate from a home-office base and is following Government guidance with regards to social distancing.
Members of the UKGSA are currently still open, supplying key industry sectors across the UK with gaskets, seals and materials. They will continue to remain open until Government guidance advises otherwise. In line with recent guidance, our Members are monitoring the impact on their employees, facilities and supply chain and where practicable have organised for their sales & office staff to work from home.
We recognise that our Members will have a number of concerns and issues should they have to close temporarily. The Government has introduced a number of measures to support businesses affected by COVID-19. Help for employers, employees and businesses is available on the Government website HERE.
As you will be aware, we recently postponed our visit to Prodrive and this will be rearranged for a date in the near future. We currently do not know what the coming months hold, and our Annual Golf Day & Charity Dinner may also be postponed. This will be disappointing to Members and guests as it is one of our most popular events, especially as we raise money for Macmillan Cancer.
We are currently working on the Spring issue of Cutting Edge, our e-newsletter which will be available on our website shortly. Members wishing to submit editorial should contact the Secretariat. Deadline for content is Friday 27 March 2020.
Please visit our Members‘ websites or follow them on social media for their latest updates.
The UKGSA urges all our Members to keep safe.
