H&S and No-Deal Brexit

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) have issued guidance on how health and safety regulations may be affected in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Whilst the business world anticipates what will happen in the coming weeks as we head towards the latest Brexit deadline of 31 October 2019, businesses need guidance and advice in order to prepare.

The HSE is reminding businesses that protecting the health and safety of people affected by their work will not change, but that a no-deal Brexit means there will be no implementation period. The HSE have produced guidance to help businesses prepare for this option which covers Explosives; Workplace Equipment & Machinery and Chemicals including CLP, Biocides and PIC, REACH and PPP. They state that the Government has made changes to legislation which ensures the regulation of chemicals continues.
