Behind the Seals: UKGSA Members Tour of V-Seal’s Cutting-Edge Facility
Posted on May 09, 2025On Wednesday, 7 May 2025, members of the UK Gasket & Sealing Association (UKGSA) and guests gathered at V-Seal Limited’s headquarters in Elland, West Yorkshire for an insightful tour of one of the UK’s leading gasket and sealing manufacturers. The visit offered attendees a first-hand look at V-Seal’s advanced production capabilities and an opportunity to network over lunch.

The day commenced with a welcome presentation outlining V-Seal’s history, global reach and dedication to delivering high quality gasket and sealing solutions. Following this, members embarked on a comprehensive tour of the facility, observing the production of various gasket types including double jacketed heat exchanger gaskets, soft cut gaskets, die formed rings, kammprofiles, and spiral wound gaskets.
Factory tour
Attendees were particularly impressed by the array of sophisticated machinery in operation:
- Laser cutting systems for high-precision metallic parts
- CNC machining including lathes and 5-axis milling
- Slitting machines and CNC flatbed equipment for spiral wound gaskets
- Semi-automatic spiral machines for efficient gasket production
- CNC press brake plus facilities for light fabrication work
- Capabilities for automatic die formed ring production
The tour highlighted V-Seal’s capability to produce both standard and bespoke gaskets and parts, catering to a wide range of applications across various industries.
The visit concluded with networking over lunch, providing members with the chance to discuss industry trends and forge new connections. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, praising V-Seal’s commitment to innovation and excellence in gasket manufacturing.
