From Apprentices to Directors
Posted on Nov 03, 2023Southbourne Rubber Ltd’s (SBR’s) ethos is to nurture their staff, work with their strengths and encourage development and progression through the company.
As such, they are delighted to announce the recent promotion of Rob Cuffe, Libby Freemantle and Tim Maslen to Sales Director, Operations Director and Company Director respectively.
Both Rob and Libby joined SBR as apprentices in 2017 and 2018 respectively. During this time they have proven themselves to be hardworking, commercially aware and important assets to the company as they continue to move towards their future goals. Combined with Tim’s life and business experience, the three of them will prove a strong, resilient management team.
Over the past few years SBR has been nominated for, and won, various awards for their apprenticeship schemes, the latest one being SME Employer of the Year at The Portsmouth News and Chichester Observer Series Apprenticeship Awards. These evenings are a wonderful way to recognise the success of hardworking apprentices and the organisations that mentor them.
They have also been accepted into The 5% Club, a growing movement dedicated to supporting organisations committed to providing ‘Earn & Learn’ opportunities to their workforce. By joining such associations they benefit from both the experience of fellow members and other experts in their field.
SBR will continue to invest in their workforce, and the business as a whole, to ensure a secure future for years to come.
